This year’s Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards were truly remarkable! Set against the glamorous backdrop of the Côte d’Azur, the event brought together the best in corporate media and documentary filmmaking, celebrating creativity and filmic excellence on a global stage.

The festival kicked off in style with a relaxed Welcome Evening at the stunning Marea rooftop restaurant and cocktail bar at the Canopy by Hilton Cannes. Guests mingled, networked, and enjoyed the gorgeous views – perfect for making new connections in a laid-back atmosphere.

Day two: Industry insights

The second day was all about diving into the world of film. Attendees had exclusive access to an online media library at the JW Marriott, showcasing all of this year’s submissions. Additionally, a series of insightful lectures took place, offering a peek into the latest industry trends and developments.

Awards night: A celebration of excellence

Held at Annex Beach, the night began with a Champagne Reception, hosted in cooperation with our partner, the SWISSFILM ASSOCIATION. When the awards ceremony started, the atmosphere was filled with excitement as the gold, silver, and black winners from the various festival categories were honored on stage, showcasing the incredible talent in the industry.

The Grand Prix awards are always the highlight of the evening, and this year’s winners were no exception:

  • The Grand Prix for Corporate Media went to the UK’s “Waiting List”, a touching production by Nowadays for the non-profit organization Gendered Intelligence. This powerful and deeply emotional film showcases the joys and struggles of being transgender, shedding light on the challenges within the healthcare system.
  • The Grand Prix for Documentaries was awarded to “Lions of the Skeleton Coast”, an incredible wildlife documentary by Into Nature Productions (Netherlands). Over eight years, the film follows a researcher and three desert lion cubs in Namibia, with breathtaking cinematography and an unforgettable score.

Introducing the “Agency of the Year” award

For the first time, the festival awarded the “Agency of the Year” alongside the existing prizes for “Company of the Year” and “Production Company of the Year”. This new Blue Dolphin trophy recognizes the essential role agencies play in shaping creative media.

A big night for the Blue Dolphin award winners

  • Vodafone GmbH (Germany) earned the coveted title of “Company of the Year”, taking home 4 Silver Dolphin trophies and 1 Gold Dolphin trophy.
  • Cyrano Kommunikation GmbH (Germany) was crowned “Agency of the Year”, with 3 Gold Dolphin trophies.
  • RD Content (UK) had an incredible evening, securing “Production Company of the Year” with 3 Finalist Certificates, 7 Silver Dolphin trophies, 2 Gold Dolphin trophies, and a Black Dolphin trophy for “Best Use of Drones”.
